A question about giving notice

Hi, I work 3 days a week (Wed - Fri) and need to give a week's notice. If I put my notice in today or tomorrow would my last day worked be this Friday as I wouldn't normally work Monday and Tuesday anyway even though they will count as 2 of my days notice? TIA

If you hand in a week's notice today, you don't have to go to work from next Tuesday morning onwards. It doesn't matter which days you work.

thanks - thought as much but thought I'd better double check - have never handed in my notice before
