I have been offered a great new job after being treated quite badly by my current employers. And as I havent a written contract I was wondering how much notice I would have to give.

Congratulations! If you don't have anything in writing then I would tell them tomorrow you'll be finishing on Friday

That is what I thought, great then hopefully I won't be feeling as stressed and worried anymore. Yipee

Just to clarify, just because you don't have a written contract doesn't mean you don't have to give reasonable notice of your intention to leave.

See here, minimum notice required in the absence of anything in a contract is a week, or whatever is 'reasonable' which could be more for a senior position. For most people a week would be fine though.

So flowery would a week be ok? I have been there 4 years
