I have got an interview for a job as kitchen assistant in a school. It is advertised as being 15 hours a week 11:30-2:30 term time only.
The hours are ideal, but if they can't make it up to 16 hours then I will miss out £2330 made up of back to work grant and £40 a week (for the year) in work credit. Plus I won't be able to claim WTC worth £66 a week.
Has anyone ever been sucesful in geting an employer to add an hour on ? It would mean me doing an extra 12 min a day which is fine by me, but obviously will cost them more.
