Not really sure where to start on this. I used to be a Branch Manager for a bank but when I returned to work on a part-time basis I never went back to a branch I was seconded to do various roles for the company - all of which were still on BM grade and salary. The company I work for has been taken over and the role I was last doing that of Assistant Branch Manager has now been done away with.
And I have been told I have to increase my hours to full time to become a BM again, or if I wish to continue part-time I have to train to be a Personal Banker.
On Wednesday I was told that 46 branches are doing job swaps and I have been chosen to move Branches on a permanant basis, which involves selling a product range I have no experience of, in an environment I have no experience of.
What can I do ?
Can they do this ?
