Im the deputy manger of a restaurant and the general manager so just so bloody negative all the time!

Its just so demotivating. to the management team and the staff. She only ever focses on the bad stuff (not alot by the way we do very well, smash all bujets tagets etc.) If anyone does anything good her responce is just that well that the job your paid to do!

She never shares sucess with the team and when things are great she thinks its all because of her. We recently won an award which she constantly refers to as her award!

She has feck all peolple skills and the staff alway come to me/head chef with any issues. but she gets all the coudos for running a great site!

AAny one experienced this, and how did you deal with it/ keep motivated?

Sorry for poor typing on glass of wine no. 3!

God, sounds awful.

There are loads of books on Amazon with titles like "How to cope with difficult people". Some of these are really good and delve into why people are eg. negative (like your boss), how they won't change, what makes them tick and how you can cope with them without going bonkers yourself. Worth a browse?
