Can anyone help?

Hi,
I am a staff nurse who has been qualified in general medicine, Haematology and oncology for the last 10 years. I have a diploma in adult branch, and a degree in clinical practice (palliative nursing), and I have had enough of working where I am. Are there any other jobs you can get with the type of qualifications I have or am I forever stuck in nursing now? I cannot stand the politics, treading on eggshells, the biased nature of people, two facedness and the old boys club of it's not what you know but who you know.
What other jobs could I do without dropping my qualifications / pay significantly??

Start doing a PhD and then get a job as a university lecturer in nursing?

Do a PGCE and teach biology.

Get a sales job for a large pharma company.

Have you tried NHS Direct / NHS24? i've had a recent career move and was pleasantly surprised by the difference compared to the wards. Yes there are still politics but they are different. These are new organisations so dont really have the "old boys club" mentality.

try to find something that will rekindle your love of nursing rather than leave the profession.

School nurse in a posh private school???

A nursing friend of mine with some extra key skills also got completely fed up with atmosphere/politics at work. She found a role where she has to visit people newly released from hospital at their homes to advise them and their carers on using their medical equipment/injecting themselves etc etc. It is completely different from the specialist area she used to work in and she finds it great even though she no longer has status etc, etc. She is out and about all day, has slightly flexible working arrangements, and works with people who are greatful/pleased to see her.

Or what about working in a GP practice?

thank you everyone! I would love to get in to practice nursing but I am not sure what qualifications I would need to make sure I meet the desired competencies on the job statements. Does anyone know?
