I am CIMA qualified & have been working for a major corporate for the last 8 years. Am on maternity leave with DD2 and have been offered redundancy.
As I have been there a long time I am tempted to take the money & see if I can set myself working from home as an accountant.
Has anyone done this with the CIMA qualification? Do I need to do additional qualifications to be self employed?
I'm thinking of doing tax returns & management accounts. Has anyone done this? What sort of hourly rate do you reckon would be reasonable to charge?
Any advice gratefully received.
