I am going to have to start from scratch I fear, we're broke, so is everyone else so am damned if i'm going to sell my soul in current sales job to keep up appearances.
So which careers can I work around the children's school hours and be there for at least some of the holiday ?
I have a degree, so half way there but would no doubt need some sort of post grad qualifications.
TIA

the voluntary sector seems to be fairly family friendly

Usually Government/Civil Service type jobs are very good for work-life balance

I work in a similar sector (regulatory body) and have to say they're fecking phenomally supportive in terms of emergency days, flexi time, holidays etc

teaching?

Yup, voluntary sector, or work for a college or university as they often have term-time only jobs.

In teaching you have to be in before and after school hours. How about a learning mentor, much better paid that a TA or a school business manager.
