Anyone work a 6 term year?

How do you cope if you're child goes to a 'normal' 3 term school? Are there many weeks in the year that are a problem? How flexible is your school about it?

Considering a new job & it's possible impact, grateful for any shared experiences!

AFAIK, a six term period is basically 3 terms, each with a one-week halfterm.

What do you mean by normal 3 terms, is it that there are no halfterms at all?

DD does a normal school year (3 terms but with half terms in the middle too).
The school I'm looking at working at seems to do 5 not 6 (I've just found out) equal 8 week terms. They seem to already be on the summer break and come back in the middle of August!
Just trying to find out how inconvenient it might be to work there..
