is there a limit to how much study you can do on mat leave?

i mean legally - not practically with a newborn, that's another matter

i am currently working full time and studying part-time distance learning, entitled to full mat leave (if i manage TC in time to come back to my fixed-term contract before it ends but that's another matter)

i am wondering whether i'll be allowed to keep on my study (or even increase it) in the later months of mat leave.

thanks.

I would have thought a course by distance learning has nothing to do with work, unless you are being paid for it. I started OU degree on mat leave

i agree done lots of courses im my spare time nothing to do with work

that's good news

i had worried that they'd try to call it study leave (upaid) rather than mat leave (paid) if i did any study.
