off sick more than 7 calendar days - do i need a sick note?

Hi,I have missed two shifts of my second job which stretches 7 calendar days. At induction, i was told if i was off this long, i would need a drs cert. I do not want sick pay and this is a second post where I only do one shift a week. Do i have to go to drs for cert still. If so why?

because if you don't it can count as unauthorised absence and you might fnd yourself being disciplined?

Why would you not want sick pay?

I would suggest you contact your employer, say that you do not wish to receive any sick pay and ask with that in mind, do they still require a doctor's certificate.

i am thinking of handing notice in anyway in next few weeks as getting more work with first job.
