3 days at work- what combination of days best?

I posted in nursery topic too but my basic question is I am about to return to work 3 days (and DS will be in nursery those days), at the moment I have a bit of choice over days- any opinions on which combination of days best?

My initial instinct was three days in a row (Mon-Wed) but then perhaps that's too long for DS to do in nursery and a split week may be better/less tiring for him, e.g. Mon, Tue, Thu? Also now thinking would a day off mid week help to get meals etc. prepared rather than having to try and sort 3 days all in a row?

What do others do? Any opinions?

I'm about to go back and my initial plan is Mon, Tues, Thurs - because then I'll only be away from work 1 day at a time which is easier for me and colleagues to deal with, and I'll have more frequent days with A.

Also A will be at home with MrNC on Tuesdays, and the nursery was full on Weds (lots of availability on Mon or Fri though!)

Lots of people work from home or are off on Fridays so nothing gets done much then anyway. Will see how A manages with Mon and Thurs at nursery - he'll be 11 months and so far at 9 months he's a gregarious creature who is happy as long as people are paying him attention, doesn't care who! Fingers crossed...

I do Mon-Weds. After the weekend with my lot I'm ready to go back to work, and its such a relief to finish on a Weds.

I'm another one who does Tuesday to Thursday, and I love it too. I started off doing Monday to Wednesday, which I did enjoy, but having the Monday and the Friday off each week works better for us. DD is 3 and we enjoy our days together more now that they're broken up than previously, when it was Thursday and Friday - by the Friday afternoon we were generally getting a bit ratty with each other (or perhaps that was just me )

...and I do get the Bank Holidays on top of my annual leave as well, hooray!
