I am currently off sick from work as a result of a pregnancy related condition. I was due to take annual leave from beginning of June and start mat leave mid July (at 36 weeks). Mat leave starts automatically at 36 weeks if sickness is pregnancy related. Fair enough.
However my current sick line stretches a week into my annual leave and I have been informed today of new legislation which means I should be entitled to carry my statutory annual leave entitlement over to next year. It feels a bit like sponging to do this. What do you think?
Also, apparently statutory annual leave is 28 days for full time, but I only work 12 hours (2 days) a week. Can anyone estimate how this would work out for me?
