I was wondering what PQE advertised jobs i should apply for? I worked in crime for about 4 years, prior to that a bit of ligigation. Friends are tellig me there are no jobs for lawyers at the moment in the current situation. I thought there is always crime, maybe just locum or something, anyone have any ideas? :0

Hi hon, I don't know so much about criminal law cos I'm in commercial law but there really aren't a lot of jobs about, especially at the 1-6 PQE range - that's where there's been most redundancies as far as I can tell.

Locum might be your best bet for getting started and then maybe impress somehwere so much they offer you something permanent. Also, from what some friends say, the locum thing can have a fair bit more flexibility when you're juggling childcare as well.

All you can do is get out there and give it a try - what part of the country are you in ?

If you're near an GDC/LPC college then maybe lecturing ?

Good luck!!

Thanks very much tomsmom lecturing could certainly be a possiblility. I am going to be near swindon, so don't know if any colleges around there, I think I am going to try looking at locuming to start with...
