Some questions re maternity leave

I am 21 weeks pregnant with DC2 and am planning on the following:

leave work for ML around 2 weeks before due date (5 October)

return to work FT (as per current arrangments) in May 2010

What do i need to do? We have no HR department ...

I am getting my MATB1 form in 3 weeks or so, which I will need to give them but do i also need to give formal notification of my intended dates of mat leave and return to work?

What is OML now? 9 motnhs or a year?

You will need to notify them of the date you start your leave yes. Have a read of this section of Directgov, which explains all the basics about notification, maternity leave and pay and coming back afterwards.
