Do you think this might work...

Hi, I have been SAHM for 4 years after working for 25 years. I am now keen to get back but my confidence is very low. Although I was not qualified for anything particular I did have a good job and used to manage a team. I am thinking of writing to a few companies to see if they would consider me for some work experience. I work for them 1 or 2 days a week for no salary and in return I am getting some experience back in the workplace and hopefully some training. Do you think anybody would be interested? I really don't have the confidence to believe at the moment anyone would pay me to work for them and need something to get me going. Please let me know your thoughts especially if you are in recruitment or managing people. Thanks

If I were you, I would think about what you would like to do and where your skills may be lacking, and see if you can enroll on some sort of training course. Nothing like a return to education/training to raise your confidence levels. Voluntary work is a good idea, too. What sort of thing were you thinking of?

I am about to go back to work full time after nearly 5 years as a SAHM, so I do know how you feel!
