Hi

I was made redundant end Jan 09. I have since been looking for another job. Lots of CV's sent out. Some interviews and still out of work. Anyhow, I want to move in the medical secretarial field (as I really don't want to work as a legal secretary anymore). I was encouraged to join the London Hospital Staffbank and was given the impression temp work was in abundance. However, upon registering with them, I'm given the "we've got nothing on at the moment". Can anyone give me any ideas/advice on how to move into this sector?

I have applied for a few on the NHS jobs website. I wasn't shortlisted for the first job. Am waiting to hear re the other two. Although I have extensive secretarial/pa experience (including one at a hospital many years back) most recently I've been working in legal and maybe that's hampering my chances.

I thought temping would be a good way in, but as you can see, getting the stock response, it all seems fruitless.
