There's a job I'd really like and so I've written a creative job application to get me noticed. However the HR dept is most likely to just send my CV, which won't be as good as the whole package, so I've done some research to find the recruiting manager. I'm pretty sure I have the right person and I'll like to call her to ask if she'd mind my sending the application directly to her, however I want to come across well on the phone!
The whole reason for sending a creative applic is that while I have the relevant skills and experience (and the quality of my work stands up well against theirs) I have gained this experience in a number of different contexts, so I can't say 'I was a [job title] in a, b, c companies'. So I want to show her what my work looks like, with a pared-down CV showing my main credentials.
Does this make sense?
I'd love your suggestions on how to approach the phone call!
