I have got an interview on Monday. Does anyone have any ideas on possible questions and any advice to help a new social worker on her first job interview?

I am only a second year student so not at that stage yet! however, my friend is coming to the end of her third year so is having interviews at the moment.

She is applying for work on children's teams and at a recent interview was given six scenarios to discuss. She was asked what she would do when faced with each situation etc.

She was also asked to discuss Laming's review of children's services in light of baby P.

Its C & F. Wilts was she asked about the Laming report in relation to the future of social work do you know? I wondered if that would be a question.

Read up on Every Child Matters and most recent developments in Child protection and Children's Centres.

Might also be worth trying to have a read of their Ofsted report to see what their priorities are for the year ahead.

Slipperandpjsmum- She was asked to discuss the recommendations he made but I don't know anything more than that. Sorry!
