I need help to make my case for flex work/job share with old-fashioned & cash-strapped employer

I am 8 months into my 12 months of maternity leave and am about to meet my employer to discuss my return to work. I want to request working 3 days a week, and I'll need to make a strong case to convince them of this. So, what are the killer arguments I need to make? My old job was as a manager of a small team (3 people) and I guess I am going to have to suggest job sharing (which hasn't happened before in our company). How can I put this across as a positive benefit for the company?

you could say that it is an oppurtunity to promite and recognise from people within, as whoever you job share with would get a few days in a higher position?

Say that obviously you're looking to come back full-time but you're concerned that in the current climate whether that it is going to be possible and see what they say?

If they are cash-strapped is it possible they are worried about covering your f-t pay?
