Have been signed off on sick leave but......

want to apply for an inhouse job (promotion) - two weeks ago my boss announced she would welcome applications for said post the following week. But I've been signed off on sick leave for 2 weeks - I only now feel well enough to think shit have I missed out?? Have I or is there a get out clause where I could still applY?

I don't know if you've missed out. Was there a deadline that you've missed? Have interviews taken place yet? If not, you can still submit your application, the fact that you happen to be on sick leave doesn't mean you can't apply along with everyone else.
