achievements box on CV, not quite sure what it means?Any advise on CV's

I am looking to back to work now after 7-8 years being at home with my children and finding it hard to fill my cv out, my word its like starting all over again!

I guess what you mean is that if you haven't worked for ages you need to do a Key Skills CV rather than Chronological because there is a big gap?

It IS very hard when you have been a SAHM but you need to think about anything you have done in the meantime. Have you been on a school committee or PTA for example? Have you done any significant voluntary work or run a play group? Just rack your brains for things that can demonstrate core competencies for the job.

Also, a word of advice. If you have done these things don't just say "I was on PTA". Make sure you break down the role, analysing your achievements etc just as you would for a job. It's great of any of these skills carry over skills you have used in your past.
