I've heard of "What colour is your parachute" and wondered if this was any good and if there are any other books that people have found really good.

the pathfinder is great. hard work though as the exercises in it take a lot of time, but you get out what you put in. it is available on amazon.

I did a springboard course which really helped me

southeasterastra · 29/03/2009 21:34

are you doing your degree katy? i'm gonna start this sept

mrsturnip · 29/03/2009 21:37

I found this one a good choice for jobs I didn't even know existed, and to get me thinking (very readable too). I found this one useful as well for similar reasons. Both presented a wide range of ideas which gave me some ideas of the direction to go in.

Of course if you have a vague idea about areas etc then you might be better off buying something more specialised. Lots on Amazon though.

I've done 30 points.....now I just need to see if I passed

southeasterastra · 29/03/2009 21:43

what does 30 points mean?

KatyMac · 29/03/2009 21:44

Well I need 360 to get a degree

I have 90 at level 1 already - if I get my 30 I will have 120 at level 1

I have 30 at level 2 so I need 90 more plus 120 at level 3

KatyMac · 29/03/2009 21:45

Sorry Mrsfogi - I didn't mean to hijack

southeasterastra · 29/03/2009 21:46

oh i'm defintely lost now..

they changed the name of my degree, was playwork now it's playwork and something else, makes me laugh.

mrsturnip · 29/03/2009 21:49

This is very good. It's not typical self-help book and it won't actually tell you what to do with your life. But you may find it inspiring and a good place to start.
