I'm in the process of applying to go back to work part time, i've filled the application and scheduled a meeting for next week. I really didnt want to go back to this job but because i cant seem to find any jobs out there i have no choice. I also fely very out of place when i was preg there.

I've jus found out i'm pregnant and this is a shock for me, it was not planned at all. I dont know what to do....i really need to go back to work because i've had enough of staying at home, my DS is my everything but i really need to get out of the house.

How do i go abou telling them i'm pregnant? I dont know why but i'm really scared, its a small company and i know they'll not be happy and can imagine everyone gossiping about it and saying i'm taking the piss.

How far on are you? I would continue as you are, go back to work and wait until you are ready to tell them, or until is too obvious. Don't worry about what they think. Your needs are more important right now.

I knew a friend who had been back 3 months and then got pregnant, which isn't that different to you. Her work weren't too happy, but couldn't say anything and beyond her feeling bad about it for a while it was actually fine. It doesn't sound as though you are very happy there anyway. By the time you have to go back after baby 2 you may have found something else. Yes, it's not ideal but it's just one of those things and as you are very early on you don't need to tell them for quite some time yet.

Thank you both for the advice,....I hope they accept my part time hours and i'll tell them soon after i start.

I feel more confident knowing they cant let me go and i intend to work very hard, i've always been good at my job and i really want them to think of me as an asset even though i'm pregnant.
