Am about to apply for two jobs, receptionist in a solicitors and medical secretary. Was a medical secretary years and years ago and have also worked as a receptionist, again years ago. Can you help me with the why do you think you are suitable for this position part of the application please apart from the obvious that I have done it before. Tia.

Have you got a person specification, or list of desirable qualities for the job? If so, use this as a starting point and think how your experience / skills cover what they are looking for.

Remember that the point of an application form is to get you an interview, not the job (you get the job at the interview). The employer sifting through the application my well be scoring you against the person specification, so if you cover all points you should get an interview.
