Advice pls for Cafe (new start up) - anyone been there,done that?

Hi there,
Myself and a friend are looking at local premises with a cafe/tea room in mind. We have loads to do in terms of the business plan and I would love some words of wisdom and advice from anyone who has already successfully started their own cafe business. We will be going down the usual channels of using Business Link etc but there is nothing like some real life experience.

Ha, thanks janx, the excitement about it has really fired me up but it is going to be hard graft me thinks!

Well have nothing to leave you see. I got made redundant before having ds (15mths) and just have no desire to go back to working for someone else again esp as we would ideally like no 2 in the next couple of years. My friend would have to leave work, pension, mat leave etc so it's a bigger decision for her.
