Avon reps, any advice or pearls of wisdom?

Just signed up as a rep for some extra holiday fund money.

Any top tips, advice or funny stories . All info welcome.

I am not sure about ordering bags for delivering, don't know what way the ordered items come in to me. Bit stuck as my Manager is on holiday this week and I am away working next week so don't know when I can see her again to clarify stuff like this.

Also wondering about the use of demonstration products and the worth of getting these, or if it is worth getting the sample sachets or vials to put in with orders to encourage further orders.

TIA.

Hi ya Skramble

I'm an AVON LADY although still in my 20's LOL. Makes me feel really old to call myself that.

I love it.

I defo would say buy some of the paper bags for deliveries cause looks much better. Also a lot easier to deliver. I attach a note thanking them for their order and state their address and how much they owe and it seems to make the delivering a lot easier in my opinion.

I think samples of perfum are great. I stick one in with customers orders every now and again and only put other samples in if I have them. I don't bother buying any others anymore. Demo products are great, for yourself, and for parties but other than that I use them for myself or sell them when customers order them later.

Got tons of tips if you want to hear em LOL xx

Thanks for the advice about bags, I didn't realise I even had to buy them until I looked in the rep brochure. Like the idea of thankyou notes, I did little notes to put on each catalogue as it was easy to quickly write a collection and delivery date depending on who and where I was handing it over.

I will order some perfumes to encourage all my new custmers to stick with me, I think I am getting a few sympathy orders as I kept telling everyone I had just started, so want to keep them on board.

I am going to hang fire on the demo products although I am so tempted to buy loads, might get the lastest SSS offer for myself as it is really good at 4 for £5.

Any other tips are most welcome, as I relly do want to make a go of this. I am thinking of doing a few local streets too, but didn't commit to this just yet.

Urmmm. Well with the demo and all other products I love to try them and send them back under the 90 day no quibble guarantee LOL. I really make good use of it. You can try the latest product and show others then if you send it back within 90 days you get a full refund or you can exchange.

I do a newsletter with each book and tell customers what I have tried and what I think of them, tell them the best offer of the brochure and how much they can save and offer a free gift if they spend over £25. I just buy something for 75p from the clearence section.

I would recomend doing territory. It takes hardly anytime to deliver the books and collect a few days later and is a quick way to drum up regular customers.

I am a SAHM and this is my main job. I love it and it keeps me from having to go back to work.

Really hope it all works out for you mate. Some people really slate Avon but it has saved my life. I now go out and find other reps too which boosts my earnings from it even more.

xx

Thanks for the tips, one query can I order stuff from the last brochure in this order and will it still count towards my total. There are some things that are a better price or have freebies with them in the last one, so I will make more money and get a couple of extra items too, but want to make sure it counts towards my sales total.

Ordered a few samples on Avon and some sample perfumes on Ebay as it was cheaper will put these in with their orders.

Your a cheeky bissom aren't you ordering stuff and sending it back .
