Has anyone done this? Is anyone doing it at the moment?

Not done Ann Summers but I did sell BodyShop by party plan. I liked doing it and earned reasonable amounts of money.

I found the set up easy to do all ordering done online and delivered to them (not my house) and as it was a branded highstreet product - which Annesummers is then it was easy to sell once you got there. Sometimes you have to be a bit creative and confident to get party bookings, but I generally had a good time, but sometimes a bit of a drag on Friday nights when you just want to drop on sofa - but I was halfway through pregnancy at the time!

HTH a little!

i was an Ann Summers rep whilst at uni and again once i left xp.

i was 12th in the country first time round and i think it was 7/8th second time.

your not going to be rich from it unless you move over to being a manager (not too difficult) and have a large number of women on your team.

but its a really good laugh and is good for a bit of pocket money

Thanks. Basically I have a possibility of getting involved in a similar company with a similar scheme (if it comes off I will of course put up a paid-for ad to see if any MNers want to join).

is it Pabo? i have heard the products are cheaper so you get more sales but they are of a lower quality which results in a lot of returns and complaints.

the key to being a good PO is the ability to stand in front of a crowd and entertain, the women don't buy the vibrators they buy you.

be funny and smart and upbeat and you'll be laughing all the way to the bank

blimey, SGB, if anyone can sell adult doodahs, it's you!

solidgoldbrass · 13/03/2009 21:11

Lulumama, I already sell a certain amount of adult stuf (mostly books and badges with rude things written on)
FM: No. Small, new company but AFAIK the products are good and fairly priced - it's basically a drop-ship outfit wanting to move into party plan.

ahhh i see.

Well with these sorts of things its very much word of mouth and its very easy to expand your client base.

good luck with it.

I'm an ann summers PO, about to get promoted to being a unit organiser (if you are in the north of england I can sign you up!) and it is ace! I made £150 in two hours on friday! the average earnings are about £50 a night, and obviously sometimes you get rubbish nights, but it works out ok.

One thing I'd say is never sign up for a company that wants you to pay to join, it's a waste of money when there are companies that let you join up for nothing.

I love my job!!!

Hi SGB
I am a bodyshop rep and find it really easy and relaxing to do
I love the fact that I can take bodyshop anywhere as well as evening parties,eg,school fetes,(summer fetes coming round soon ;) ), church fundraisers, etc, - the list is endless
If you are interested in finding out more just email me on [email protected] and I will answer any questions you may want to ask hun
Take care,
Jenny
