Made redundant twice in one year - how to cope?

I am totally flattened by this experience. When I found a new job after the first redundancy I thought I would never go through such a bad experience again. Second time round, it is even worse. Please suggest ways of keeping me from falling down a very dark hole...

You poor thing - I've been made redundant once and it was awful, can't begin to imagine how you must feel.

Try not to take it personally - times are tough and loads of businesses are cutting staff.

What is it you do? Can you look for another job but in an industry that is a bit more stable?

Agree with potplant, you really must try not to take it personally if you can, particularly in this economic climate.

Is the industry you work in particularly vulnerable at the moment, or the job you do? Perhaps use this as an opportunity to have a rethink about what else you could do.

Just wanted to add moral support really. Invariably things like this are nothing personal, but it is really hard to be strong about it all.

Hope you are OK
