I'm sure I came across changes to maternity from October 1st 2008

but I can't find the threads in the archives.

I'm thinking that there was a change made that no mother of baby due after October 1st 2008 would loose any of their enhanced benefits from their employer?

Basically I have a higher annual leave entitlement and am being told that for my additional maternity leave I have to accrue annual leave at basic rate. Baby was due in October (matb1 has this date) but born 5weeks early. not sure if this makes a difference?

sorry for long winded description but can't get online often at the moment so hoping I've given all the info. thanks.

The change was for women with babies due on or after 5th October, so if your baby was due from then, regardless of being born earlier, you will accrue holiday at your normal rate throughout maternity leave. Have a look at the factsheet at the bottom of this page all about it.
