If a job is advertised, £XXXX paid pro rata but is term time only

how does it work?

The job I am looking at is for 37 hours but there are other part time jobs advertised too.

Sorry if I sound ignorant. I am trying to decide whether to apply for a job and the money looks like a step up but I don't quite understand if one gets paid the advertised salary over 52 weeks or the advertised salary minus school holiday time over 52 weeks. I think it is the second scenario but I am hoping it is the first

TIA

Hi,

My DD has just started work at a school and as I understand it the amount is divided by 52 weeks then x by 43 weeks (39 weeks of term + 4 weeks holiday) then divide that amount by 12 months.

HTH

Sorry - that should be "divide that amount by 12 months ... to get your monthly gross salary.
