Chapterhouse proofreading courses

Does anyone know if these are worth doing or taken seriously by employers? Not sure whether to try something like this or just study myself and then try for accreditation with SFEP.

Of course she did.

Apparently no, employers don't think much of them at all (was mentioned somewhere else a few days ago). I think because they smack of the amateur a bit.

If you want to be taken seriously by SfEP, you need to do their courses, or the Publishers Training Centre course. I assume the same goes for employers.
