If you are nhs bank staff do they do an annual CRB check on you?
Apart from my origional appointment 19 years ago I'm not aware of any other checks done on me (other than providing evidence of my professional registration). I've just had a letter summoning me in for a meeting to provide evidence of ID and address so they can do my annual CRB check. I was full time from 1990-2003 and since then I do a few hours a week on an 'ad-hoc' contract, which is similar to working through the bank. I've never liaised with the 'bank', my work and pay is organised directly with the department I work for.
I'm worried because last week my boss asked me to sign something additional to say my last pay claim was accurate. Now a few days later the bank want to do a CRB check on me. It may just be bad timing and a coincidence but I can't help but worry the two are connected. So if you work on an ad-hoc contract and/or through the bank, please reassure me that it is normal now to have annual CRB checks. TIA!
