I have phoned up about possibly starting as a weekend carer for the elderly, you go around to their house to help them stay in their homes. Which is lovely - my background is mostly nurturing but with children.
What I am asking is.. does anyone do this? I know the job description, I am not afraid of anything I would need to do, but I would like to find out what it's "really like" before I explore it. It sounds just a lovely thing to do, but like anything I am sure it's heart wrenching..
Anyone have experience with this type of work?
