Single working mums, what do you if your child is ill? Being self-employed you don?t have to answer to anyone, but, if your child is ill you can?t get any work done. Being self employed, especially when you are starting out, involves a lot of time and commitment. And if your child is frequently ill, as seems to be in nursery where kids stick their fingers in each others mouths and still try to eat toys, what do you do?
I do have a DH but he is disabled with heart problems so it is like I am a single mum with 2 kids, not a couple with one kid. DH can?t look after DD for an hour here or there or do school run or look after her when she is ill.
Am facing up to the fact I might not be able to do any kind of work til DD is 12 because there is no one to look after her if she is sick.
