Hi all, would be very grateful for any advice from anyone - how do you get around the problem of writing a cv if you've been a sahm for 15 years? Sounds stupid I know, but I gave up work when expecting dc1. 10 years later when dc3 started school, I did work briefly (about a year)but the job was such that I was classified as being self-employed. Then dc4 came along, and apart from a brief stint of taking in ironing (very brief, realised how much I hated ironing)have done no work since. Now need to go back to work, have got as far as filling in a few forms but never sent them back as have no suitable referees and a prehistoric cv! What should I do? Thanks in advance for any replies.

There look like there are lots of cv websites out there to help you. Initially found this one cv-masterclass.com/cv.html.

Make sure you make the most of your strengths (and you need a lot of them to be a mum!!) - there is a lot of competition out there.

Good luck
