Car Valetting Business

I'm thinking this might be a comparatively straightforward business for me to set up and run for myself (as a fairly modest affair - just me doing the valetting, on a part time basis). I expect that it will be low overhead and not very capital intensive - plus fairly simple work processes for me to familiarise with.

Any ideas regarding how I go about researching it in more detail and making the move from 'concept' to starting the business.

My dh looked at a business like this called waterless detailers which uses a waterless system (excellent for those on water meter and showrooms). I would be inclined to ring round your local area and see how much they each charge and what they do for it. Then possibly get your car valeted by someone at the top and someone in the middle of the price range to establish the difference.

Yes I think you are right - good market research to get my car valetted to check out how they do it etc

it was a franchise and they wanted about £20k
