No advice but feeling the same - need to work to pay the bills but want to do something different so hoping to get some ides myself!

Teaching? My sister retrained as a teacher after being a nurse - she loves it.

knittingmama · 21/01/2009 21:51

Cornsilk, did she retrain later on in life? I feel like teaching would require immense amounts of energy- that with 2 young kids it would be exhausting and all the young teacher trainees would do a better job!

Frazzled- wish I had an answer for you, sorry I'm no help here!

When she was in her 30's. Her kids were about 10/11 when she began to teach - so a good age.

I feel like doing something that doesnt involve looking after people, feel a bit drained, so teaching probably not for me.
