tax credit - going back to work

Hi, just a quick question - does anyone know how many hours you have to work before your tax credit is/isnt affected? I'm looking at going back to work but the job I'm applying for is 14.5 hours a week and something is making me think I may lose some working tax credit if I work under 16 hours. Any advice?
Sorry - too lazy to ring tax office!!!!

Tax credits are based on earnings as well as hours so it may affect them.

You won't be eligible for WTC as a single claimant with hours under 16, you'll only receive Child Tax Credit.

If you claim jointly, you both have to work more than 16 hours to claim childcare costs, but hours of 14.5 would be worth putting on system if it takes your joint hours over 30.
