Back to work after a year and not liking it

Went back after a year - although my job is part time, my cover got a full time contract for a year. My boss, who only started before I left thinks everything she did (my cover) was amazing and has spent lots of time telling me how she has really moved the job along. Its like everything I did was somehow devalued. To make it worse my cover has now got a job in the department and still doing some freelance work for my post....argggggggh. I am knackered (ds does not sleep that well) , feel low in confidence and just want to run off ....anyone else in the same boat?

No BUT, you're a long time dead!

Ask yourself this:- when you're lying on your deathbed, will you be looking back at your life and wishing you'd spent more time in the office?!

Either treat it as a means to an end OR find a career that you absolutely love and I'll guarantee, you'll never work again!

Sound advice Doodle2U....are you a life coach?

No! I just cough out sound bites when the need arises!

That said, the lying on your deathbed thing is really true!

How come DS doesn't sleep so well? How old is he? Maybe if we could help you solve that, you'd feel more up for finding a new job work

Ds is 13 months - has gone from waking up every 2-3 hours to sleeping to 4.30/5...so big improvement, but we are having trouble cracking that early rising. We have a 2 bed flat and dd 4 has moved into our room as ds is such a light sleeper that anyone in the room disturbs him
