Anyone done a jobshare with another WOHM?

Hi all!

Have just been approached by another mum with regards to a possible freelance job share - passing on promised work that we can't complete due to childcare issues etc. Does anyone do this? It sounds like an ace idea but I wondered if problems could arise if the transfering only goes one way, etc...

How would it work - would you be a team, taking on work together that either of you might do, or would you just pass on work you can't commit to to the other.

I haven't done the former, but have passed work on to other people when I haven't been able to do it - hopefully it will be two-way in the future.

If I get really stuck for time DH, who is in the same line of work, might help out. Two issues to think about: a) that you wouldn't lose work to them if your client prefers them and b) that they would do the work to your standards.

Would be interested to hear how it goes.

It would be just passing on work I think. I don't know the other mum but we have the same languages (would be translation). I don't know how much the client would be in the loop - tho I presume for tax reasons etc the invoicing would have to be separate. I am just starting out so I think it may be much more beneficial to me than to her! I am still considering it really but will let you know.
