I need to nominate someone for a foreign trip thats a not very nice trip for 8 weeks. Trouble is, both of my subordinate line managers in charge of the potential nominees are away and, although the manpower plot looks ok for the period, I feel bad about pinging someone and then letting my subdordinate managers know about it after the event. Am I being silly?! I'm not scared of them or anything, but I am concerned that I may not be privy to something that may be a show stopper. Should I just go ahead and get on with it?? Grateful for your thoughts!!!
