I went to one of them
was fione, quite relaxed
about 8 or so other there with me in a room
chatting, some filling in of forms etc

BUT this was 7 years ago so may be completely diofferent now

good luck

I went to one years and years ago. We had to get into groups of 3 and act out an ad for washing powder

Other than that it was fine.

Interviews: remember, it doesn't matter how many people there are in the room, they will only ask you questions one at a time. Remember that, take it one question at a time and you'll be fine.
Also, it is just as nerve-racking being on an interview panel as being interviewed. They want to get the right people and they want you to like them, so don't worry - they'll be nice

Brunette - act out an ad for washing powder . My knees are knocking together!!

I can cope with one-to-one interviews but do find it a bit difficult to get myself heard in a crowd. As for acting..!!

It was about 8 years ago though Mama, so it may well be different now.

Mamapetal have you had your group interview yet? I have one on Tuesday and just wondered what it was like.

TIA

Sowhat - I had it today - it lasted about one hour. There were about 15 of us all sat round a big table. The first task was to introduce yourself and give a reason why you wanted to work for Asda.

For the second task we were split into 3 teams given some props (balloons, sticky tape etc) and told to make something to promote Asda or a special event. We had five minutes to build it and a minute to explain what it was. This was to test our team working skills.

Lastly we were given a flexibility questionnaire to complete - about what hours we could work.

There were 4 assessors in the room with us and it was emphasised that our behaviour was on test here. We would be called for a one to one interview if we passed this stage.

I am totally worn out by the whole experience!!! and feel totally down - I keep thinking if I don't get through this stage is my behaviour totally weird, am I a freak?? The whole interview seems over the top for a shelf-stacking job!!!!

Hope it goes better for you. I think the best way to approach it would be to imagine yourself to be one of the contestants on "The Apprentice"!!!

I actually thought that when I saw what you had to do! Its ridiculous! Mine is tomorrow and I'm now quite nervous (wasn't before I started googling tonight!) Let me know how you get on. Will keep my fingers crossed for you.
