sick note query, help please!

I have been off work sick, on a note, but returned today to find I really am still not well enough to be there. Can I 'selfcert' for the next 5 days, or do i need another note from docs? Just not sure! thanks

if you have returned to work for 1 day you will have to self cert yourself...its like starting over again with the sick notes etc.

Not so sure about that lk, when I worked in payroll (5 yrs ago now) it was classed as continuation of sickness if you went back off sick within 7 days and would need covering by doctors note. SSP rules might have changed since then though.

it may just be different company policies but i have been off sick for 6 months and went back one day and wasnt fit for work and thats how i had to do it....you could be right, just going on experience really.

just been to docs, and he has given me a note until next week, dated today!
