Flexible working - is mentioning it at a second interview career suicide?

I think I know the answer to this..

I've got my second interview, at a school, and I'm toying with the idea of mentioning 'flexible' working at this interview.

DH thinks I would be mad to do so, and I suppose I agree.

When I was a school governor, a job for a full time teacher came up and 2 applicants applied together as a job-share, 0.5 each. They got it, even though all the others were f/t applicants. The head was v pleased with her decision.

Thanks for that advice. I don't know of anyone who I could share this job with, but its helpful to know, especially as I will be interviewed again by one of the governors.

I wouldn't - wait until you get the job, then think about broaching the subject. If you mention it now and you don't get the job you will forevermore suspect that this was the reason.
