How long would you give another freelancer to come back to you re taking over one of your clients?

I'm having to cut back work at short notice and for some clients we've just cut back the projects I'm working on.

One small organisation I work for were keen for me to try and find another freelancer to take over.

I contacted a friend in the same field who is keen to start freelancing and just finishing her maternity leave. I haven't heard back from her yet and am just wondering how long to give her to reply. It makes it more awkward that it's a friend.

I contacted her on Tuesday (having already agreed last month that she'd be keen to take over), gave her the brief of the project, working conditions, daily rate etc and asked her to let me know asap as the client have some imminent deadlines.

How long would you give her?

She's a good friend, I don't want to hassle her but also don't want to compromise my professional reputation with the client.

Give her a call
Just behave professionally. 3 days is long enough to wiat for a reply to an email.

Thanks Mazzy - 3 days seems okay to me, it's nice to have some reassurance that I'm not hassling her!
