Ideas for a career change...please?

I have been freelancing as a PR consultant for the last 18 months but am having issues with my main client, who wants me to drop my rates so am feeling a bit fed up with it all. I have a DS who is 3 1/2 and will be having DC2 in December, so obviously it's not great timing for a career change, but can anyone help me come up with some other options. My background means that I am good at writing, researching, proof reading etc, butI'mnotaverse to trying something completely new, including something along the lines of party selling. Does anyone have good experiences of franchising/party selling etc that they'd be willing to share to help me make my mind up?

With so many mumpreneurs out there, I'd have thought freelance PR would be a great line to be in! Particularly if you have good media contacts. Have you thought about just expanding your client base?

However if you feel like a change and want information on party plans, take a look at the Giant Potential site. It's a network of female business owners and has a few groups dedicated to various Party Plan businesses.

thanks for that web site Dubh - I'm going to have a look too - am thinking of changing too - maybe to partyplan.
