anyone else work from home?

I didn't go back to work last year after having DS but now work from home 3 days a week. It's great in terms of flexibility but god I'm finding it hard to get motivated at the moment. Oddly the more work I have to do the more I avoid it - I end up doing housework / washing / surfing etc - anything other than work.
It doesn't help that my office (the spare room) looks onto next door neighbours vile wall with rusting satellite dish - hardly inspiring.
Any other mumsnetters work from home? do you miss the interaction of office life? any motivation tips?

She's been at it on another website too!

So how else is slink going to get the information which she has asked for. I wanted to mail her direct but there seems no way of doing that. Actually, I only started doing this back in January and don't have £50 for three months to pay for a button ie £150. As you will have noticed I haven't posted anything since I found out that such postings weren't allowed and I only originally posted after seeing a similar message on here. At that time I hadn't ever posted on a forum and didn't realise that it was bad form to put a website. If someone genuinely wants information like Slink then what is the problem with giving an email address so they can mail you directly.

Work from home, freelance journalist, love it.

I do miss other people but not the meetings!

me too motherinferior. I sometimes miss the banter but not the politics! also miss it when people bring in cakes and share them round.

I love it too. Am far more disciplined than I was before dd. Something about dropping her off with cm, then 'arriving' at home which has now become work. Do slink off on the slimmest most outrageous pretexts sometimes, however. I'm sure Katierocket and motherinferior have found themselves window shopping for sun glasses when deadlines are in over-loom. I write and find that plot niggles often sort themselves out while I'm on the treadmill or even - dare I say this - after I've popped upstairs for a quick 'lie down'
