Can someone please help as I am confused at the latest rights / benifits for pregnant women.

My baby is due 1st Feb 09, I currently work full time and the job that I do is basically as follows;

I provide people with quotations in the removals industry. When people decide they are ready to move they come back to me and book a date for collection. I get commission for when that persons books in that month.

So Ie. I gave Mr Jones a quote for hos move in July and in September he wants us to move him. so I get commision in September.

when I am on Maternity leave am I still entitled to get comission for the jobs I have quoted on previously? Or am I totally wrong?

I'd say your first point of reference would be your employment contract, followed by your company's maternity policy.

As far as being pg goes, you are still regarded as being 'employed' so you shouldn't be any worse off for not being physically in the office iyswim with regard to bonuses or commission whilst you are on maternity leave.

The only problem there is we are such a small company (total of 8 people) with no HR Dept or Maternity Policy I feel I am a little stuck.

I am not sure what I am entitled to and if I ask the question I know I will be told I am not entitled to it.

Bonus and commission payments during maternity leave is a bit complicated and often depends on the terms and conditions of the bonus scheme.

But basically, where you get part of your salary as commission, you should receive commission payments that relate to when you were at work, and shouldn't receive commission payments that relate to when you were not at work.

So, if Mr Jones is given a quote by you, but then happens to move when you're on maternity leave, you should get that commission.

But obviously you should not get commission for people who move when you are back but were given their quotes by someone else while you were away. So although you may get commission payments made to you during your maternity leave for leads you got when you were at work, you're obviously likely to have a few months with less commission when you get back.
