Just gone back to work this week, Mon & Tue. Now it's Weds and I feel like I hardly got started before the week was over. I have very flexible employers and ds is in nursery Mon-Wed so I can change things round a bit.

So I am thinking either Tues & Wed or Mon & Wed. Any views? In particular on whether breaking the week up is a good or bad idea?

Thanks!

When I first went back to work I did Tues, Wed, Thurs. It was nice having Mondays at home, and also I don't know how your BHs work but where I am your leave is apportioned so if you are supposed to do a full day on Monday you end up owing them time every BH!

I have worked Thurs/Fri, then I changed to Mon/Tues. I curretnly do Weds/Thurs. TBH I prefer the Weds/Thurs. It is good to have Monday and friday free for INSET days which were always a pain when I worked those days. Also nice to have beginning of week and end of week home to get jobs done pre and post weekend!

Tuesday and wed exc idea
ESP long weekends and bank holidays.
I used to do that and found it suited really well

Oohhhh have worked a mixture of all days since being a mum and my fave was Monday and Friday - got great bank holiday benefits and everyday felt like a friday - it was the best!

I currently do Mon Wed after a year of doing Mon Tues and a few years of Fri only. Much prefer Mon Wed - I was exhausted by the time Wed had arrived and spent that day recovering. Much more relaxed now even tho the working week is a bit longer.

like you I was

I do a three day week, Mon, Wed and Thurs. I prefer the time bunched together and have five days off in one go - but I can see that if you're dedicated to work somehow doing a Monday and Tuesday makes you feel you're missing somehting. Nice compromise is Tues Wed I think.

I do Tues, Weds and Thursday and works fine. I get 4 days off together and can cover inset etc and am in for the main part of the week which suits work fine.

I do swap now and again for an odd meeting or to cover a school event.

I also get the bank hols pro-rata for not being in on a Monday so get a couple of days extra hols a year which is fab
